Maritza is the Office Manager, with responsibility for all administrative aspects of the law firm, including billing and personnel. Maritza is also a primary client contact for the day-to-day operations of the law firm, lead patent paralegal, and assists the attorneys with the filing, prosecution, and maintenance of U.S. and foreign patents and trademarks. Maritza oversees the clients’ patent and trademark portfolios, attorney and paralegal work flow to ensure that deadlines are met on a timely and cost-efficient manner. Maritza’s experience includes working as patent secretary and paralegal at national law firms, including Quarles & Brady in Phoenix, Arizona, Heller Ehrman, as well as Howrey & Simon, in San Diego, California, where she worked assisting attorneys with the prosecution and filing of U.S. and foreign applications.
